Wellroot & FreeWill – A New Way to Give

Wellroot & FreeWill – A New Way to Give

Are you 70.5 or older? There’s a better way for you to give to Wellroot Family Services!

If you’re 70.5 or older and you have a traditional IRA, the best way for you to support the causes you care about the most is through a gift from your IRA!

The year you turn 70.5, Traditional IRA holders must withdraw a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). If you don’t, there’s a tax penalty of approximately 50% of the RMD, but if you do take out the RMD, the IRS will tax it as income, giving you a bill of as high as 37% of its value.

You can, however, satisfy your RMD requirement by making a tax-free gift to Wellroot Family Services, even if you don’t itemize deductions on your tax return!

This year, Wellroot is offering all of our supporters a new tool to help you calculate your RMD, and decide how much you would like to give back to thousands of children and young adults throughout Georgia.

Thanks to generous supporters like you, Wellroot is the leading faith-centered family services organization in Georgia, restoring children and families from trauma through Jesus Christ. A gift from your IRA can amplify the support you’ve already given to our children and families this year.

Take advantage of our new tool, and give a tax-free gift to Wellroot Family Services today!
