Reaching Teens Training

Wellroot’s Reaching Teens training provides communication strategies to effectively engage with today’s teenagers. As part of a culture change movement, it aims to shift how we view, interact with, and support young people by flipping the frame and advancing a strength-based perspective.

Reaching Teens helps youth-serving professionals apply the principles found in these 4 theoretical frameworks:

Youth Development

Strength-Based Language

Restorative Practices

Trauma-Sensitive Practices

More About Reaching Teens

With support and approval from the Reaching Teens toolkit developer, Dr. Ken Ginsburg, Wellroot has developed a training series using the Reaching Teens content.

Reaching Teens prepares youth-serving professionals to address a variety of behavioral
risks and mental health issues from a strength-based perspective.

The training series integrates a trauma-sensitive model with the core belief that
identifying, reinforcing, and building on inherent strengths can facilitate positive youth
