Building a Resilient Georgia

Reduce childhood adversity by promoting resiliency and healing

Resilient North Georgia is a coalition between Wellroot Family Services, Resilient Georgia, and community partners in North Georgia. Our goal is to increase community understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and provide evidence-based services that support efforts to keep children out of the foster system, prevent trauma, advocate for prevention, and foster a resilient community.

Resilient North Georgia builds bridges between public and private partners, offering trainings across 13 counties:
Banks, Dawson, Franklin, Forsyth, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White.

Resilience can be built by improving skills to work through challenges. The resilience of an individual depends on their relationships and the community. It is the systems around us that influence the ability of both children and adults to be more resilient.
