Overview

What is Triple P – Positive Parenting Program?

Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is a research-based parenting and family support system designed to prevent – as well as treat – behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers. It aims to prevent problems in the family, school, and community before they arise and create family environments that encourage children to realize their potential.

This training is free and open to the public. If you are an organization with a group of parents that would be interested, contact us to schedule a training in your community.

For more information, email us at positiveparentingprogram@wellroot.org.

How the Program Works

  • Classes are organized in groups of no more than 12 parents who attend weekly two-hour sessions for five weeks, plus one individual counseling/catch-up session with the instructor via phone or Zoom.
  • The program starts with weekly group sessions for the first four weeks, followed by three weeks to practice Triple P at home with weekly check-ins from your coach to find out how it’s going and offer support.
  • Finally, you will meet up with your Triple P group for one last session. This is a chance to discuss progress and celebrate new learnings with your coach and support group. Classes are offered in person and over Zoom.
