Learn More: Wellroot is in need of volunteers to give children a fun time while their parents attend training and support groups! Most opportunities are Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

What are the different volunteer programs working directly with children?

  • Wellroot offers support groups to our foster parents to give them a safe place to unpack the challenges and positives of fostering, while getting that support and self-care that is much needed. Volunteers commit to help 1 to 2 times a month, on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays from 6:45pm-8:15pm.
  • Nearly all our Family Housing clients come to us as professing Christians, so Kid’s Club serves as a community-building opportunity in which our children learn the foundational teachings and stories of the Christian faith. During the event, volunteers work with children on activities such as crafts, sing songs, teach a bible lesson, help with homework and play games. Volunteers commit to help 1 to 2 times a month, every other Tuesday night from 6:30-8:00pm.

What are the qualifications?

  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years old
  • Interview with a Wellroot staff
  • Volunteers should be willing to commit to volunteer for 6-12 months.
  • Since you would work 1:1 with our children, we require a full background check with fingerprint scan

Please sign up below, and a Community Cultivator will call you to discuss volunteering and schedule an in-person interview.
